Maryland men’s basketball forward Jairus Hamilton has entered his name into the transfer portal, per a team spokesman.
Hamilton arrived at Maryland before the 2020-21 season after playing two years at Boston College.
“I appreciate Coach Turgeon, the staff and my teammates for welcoming me into the program this past season. While it wasn’t a typical season as we dealt with COVID, I enjoyed my time in College Park,” Hamilton said. “Having said that, I will be entering my name into the transfer portal as I seek a new opportunity.”
With the Terps, the 6-foot-8 junior saw the court in all 31 games and started in five of those matchups.
