Maryland women’s lacrosse stars Lizzie Colson, Brindi Griffin, and Grace Griffin were named Preseason All-Americans by Inside Lacrosse Monday.
Colson, a redshirt senior and defender, took home first-team honors. Fifth-year attacker Brindi Griffin and senior midfielder Grace Griffin earned third-team and honorable mention honors, respectively.
Now a three-time All-American, Colson has also amassed multiple All-Big Ten and All-Big Ten tournament awards over her career in College Park despite missing all of 2020 with an ACL injury. Ranked as the 14th best player in the country by Inside Lacrosse, Colson rode a historic 2019 effort to a National Championship with the Terps.
