Former Maryland men’s soccer stars Dayne St. Clair and Chase Gasper led Minnesota United FC to a 3-0 victory over top-seeded Sporting KC Thursday to reach the MLS Western Conference Finals.
St. Clair started in goal and tallied four saves while maintaining another postseason clean sheet. He has not allowed a goal in his last 680 postseason minutes, dating back to the Terps’ 2018 National Championship run.
Gasper played a full 90 minutes at left back, his second full postseason game for the Loons. He played in 18 regular season matches, starting in 16, but has taken ownership of a key role in the playoff run.
