MM 12.16: Maryland football’s offense receives multiple conference honors

Six players on Maryland football’s offense received recognition from the Big Ten Tuesday, highlighted by running back Jake Funk being named to the All-Big Ten Third Team by coaches.

Funk leads the entire FBS in yards per carry (8.6), with 516 rushing yards this season on just 60 attempts in four showings. After dealing with two ACL tears in the same amount of years, he stepped up as the Terps’ lead back this season and has averaged 129 rushing yards per contest, which ranks eighth in the nation and second in the conference.

The senior has produced three rushing touchdowns and one receiving touchdown as well.
