MM 11.7: Maryland field hockey picks up B1G Offensive, Defense Players of Year

No. 2 Maryland field hockey won a share of the Big Ten regular season title, but that wasn’t the only award that the Terps took home.

Senior midfielder Madison Maguire was awarded Offensive Player of the Year honors Tuesday, while junior defender Bodil Keus won Defensive Player of the Year for the second consecutive season.

In addition to these awards, Maguire, Keus and freshman midfielder Emma DeBerdine were all named to the All-Big Ten First Team.

Maguire was a key part of the Terps’ offense, leading with 34 points on 12 goals and 10 assists in the regular season.
