William James Hervé is ending his career and leaving the United States at the end of the fall semester, the Maryland men’s soccer junior midfielder announced on Instagram Sunday.
“I would have never thought this day would have come that fast. It breaks my heart but it is also a relief for me to announce this,” Hervé wrote in his post. “My body and mind have been heavily impacted by injuries. I came to realization that I didn’t want to see my life being unhealthy and sad so it was necessary for me to take this important decision.
