Maryland’s lacrosse duo of John Tillman and Cathy Reese has been dominant as the head coaches of their respective programs for some time now, and the country has certainly taken notice.
In Inside Lacrosse’s Best of the Decade edition released earlier this week, Reese was named the women’s lacrosse Coach of the Decade, while Tillman received the same honor for the men’s side.
Tillman, who took over the program in 2011, led the Terps to an NCAA National Championship in 2017 — the first since 1975. Reese has accumulated five national championships while in College Park — with the most recent one coming this past season.
