MM 11.13: Maryland football in isolation after rise in positive cases

The Maryland football team has moved into The Hotel in College Park, head coach Mike Locksley confirmed Thursday, in an attempt to create a ‘bubble’ after eight players tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this week.

On Wednesday, the Terps paused all in-person team activities, cancelled Saturday’s game against Ohio State and moved out of their standard living arrangements into individual rooms at the university’s flagship hotel. They will be staying there through mid-day Sunday.

Per protocols announced at the start of the season, any players who tests positive are placed in isolation in apartment-style dorms.
