Maryland Terrapins athletic director Damon Evans and 13 coaches with supplemental pay have volunteered to take pay cuts in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic’s financial impact.
Mark Turgeon (men’s basketball), Mike Locksley (football), Brenda Frese (women’s basketball), Sasho Cirovski (men’s soccer), John Tillman (men’s lacrosse), Missy Meharg (field hockey) and Cathy Reese (women’s lacrosse), as well as Evans, will undergo up to a 10 percent reduction on top of the university’s mandatory salary reductions.
Men’s basketball assistant coaches Matt Brady, Deandre Haynes and Orlando Ranson and football assistant coaches George Helow, Jon Hoke and Scottie Montgomery also volunteered to take a pay cut.
