MM 10.16: Maryland men’s basketball plans to play George Mason, per sources

Maryland men’s basketball is planning to play a nonconference game against George Mason this season, sources confirmed to Testudo Times.

According to sources, the matchup is in the works but not official yet. All of the Terps’ previously announced out of league contests, including a tournament in College Park, have been removed from the online schedule.

Much remains uncertain regarding the 2020-21 schedule for programs across the country due to the coronavirus pandemic. The Big Ten has yet to announce its plan and nothing is set in stone, but Stadium’s Jeff Goodman has reported that sources have indicated the league will go with a 20-game slate.
