Maryland’s Diamond Stone waived by Chicago Bulls

The Chicago Bulls waived former Maryland center Diamond Stone on Monday, putting him back on the market for the second time since the summer.

It’s the latest development in a chaotic offseason for Stone. He was traded from the Los Angeles Clippers to the Atlanta Hawks in a three-team deal, then was waived by Atlanta after Summer League. Stone signed a partially guaranteed two-year deal with Chicago in September, but was waived to make room for point guard Kay Felder.

He’s the second former Terrapin to just miss an NBA roster as the 2017-18 season begins.
