Maryland’s Alyssa Thomas, Kristi Toliver selected to WNBA All-Star Game

Former Maryland women’s basketball stars Alyssa Thomas (Connecticut Sun) and Kristi Toliver (Washington Mystics) are among the WNBA’s All-Star Game reserves, selected by the league’s coaches and announced Monday.

Thomas is heading to the game for the second time in her career, with her first appearance coming in 2017. Her shoulder injuries have caused her stats to fall off a bit this season, but her 11.6 points and 7.2 rebounds per game, along with the usual intangibles she brings to the table, were good enough to get her the All-Star nod.
