Maryland women's lacrosse will play for the outright Big Ten title in its season finale vs. Penn State

The top-ranked and undefeated Terps already have a share of the Big Ten title, but they can win it outright with a victory against No. 13 Penn State on Thursday night in Happy Valley.

"At Maryland, we expect to play for and win championships."

Maryland women's lacrosse coach Cathy Reese told me that years ago.

Thursday's season finale at No. 13 Penn State, a game that will be televised at 7 p.m. on the Big Ten Network, gives Maryland its first opportunity of the season to check off one of those championship boxes. While the Terps already clinched a share of the Big Ten title with their win against Michigan last weekend, they can take the title outright with a win tonight.
