Maryland women’s lacrosse announces newcomers for 2019 season

Maryland women’s lacrosse announced 10 newcomers to the program for the 2019 season Wednesday, with a high-profile transfer joining nine incoming freshmen.

The Terps, who went 20-2 this spring and reached the Final Four, will bring in midfielder Erica Evans, who starred from 2015-17 at Canisius but missed 2018 with a torn ACL. She’s the program’s all-time scoring leader with 186 goals and was a Tewaaraton Award semifinalist in 2017, when she tallied 108 points (72 goals, 36 assists) and led the Golden Griffins to a MAAC championship. Evans will have one year of eligibility at Maryland.
