Maryland women’s basketball’s Crystal Langhorne is a WNBA champion

Former Maryland women’s basketball star Crystal Langhorne is a 2018 WNBA champion. Langhorne and the Seattle Storm completed a three-game sweep of the Washington Mystics with a 98-82 win on Wednesday night.

It’s a third major title for Langhorne, after winning the NCAA title under Brenda Frese in 2006 and a FIBA U21 World Championship with Team USA in 2007. Langhorne was also the first Maryland basketball player with 2,000 points and 1,000 rebounds. After being drafted by the Mystics in 2008 and traded to Seattle in 2014, the 10-year vet has a ring.
