Former Maryland point guard Brene Moseley was selected in the second round of Thursday's WNBA Draft by the Indiana Fever.
After a redshirt senior season in which she won Big Ten Sixth Player of the Year and was named a finalist for the Nancy Lieberman Award, Moseley was taken 21st overall. It came as a surprise of sorts, as she was not mentioned in many mock drafts. DraftSite.com, one of the few sites to post a full, three-round mock, didn't have Moseley on its 36-player list.
Moseley joins former Terps Marissa Coleman and Lynette Kizer on the Fever, who are coming off a WNBA Finals appearance in 2015.
