In 2013, his 15th year as the official hype man of Maryland football’s student section, Keith Moore, better known to Terrapins fans as “Special K,” talked about how he hoped to one day be remembered.
“You build a bank account on what you get, but you will build a legacy on what you give,” Moore, who brought boundless enthusiasm to the sidelines every Saturday while wearing his distinctive red cape and No. 99 jersey, told the Diamondback, Maryland’s student newspaper. “I hope and pray the spirit I’ve brought here will live forever.”
