Maryland men’s basketball to play George Mason in annual ‘secret’ scrimmage, per report

With the college basketball season less than a month away, practices are ratcheting up and one of the sport’s worst-kept secrets draws nearer. It’s almost time for secret scrimmage season.

Maryland men’s basketball will take on George Mason in its annual private scrimmage before the season on October 20 at EagleBank Arena, according to Stadium’s Jeff Goodman. In accordance with the “secret” part of the scrimmage, no media or public will be allowed at the event.

Teams are allowed to play either two exhibition games, two scrimmages or one of each, which is what the Terps tend to do.
