Maryland men’s basketball has landed transfer center Qudus Wahab from Georgetown, he announced Saturday.
The 6-foot-11 sophomore averaged 12.7 points, 8.2 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game during the 2020-21 season, shooting 59.1% from the field and 67.3% from the line. He was named to the 2021 Big East All-Tournament team after averaging 15.4 points per game en route to the Hoyas’ crown at Madison Square Garden.
Wahab was part of the Hoyas’ 2019 class, coming in as a three-star prospect and the No. 136 player in the nation out of the Flint Hill School in Virginia.
