Maryland men's basketball adds small forward Trace Ramsey to 2018 recruiting class

The Maryland men’s basketball team added a fifth player to its highly ranked 2018 recruiting class Thursday, when unranked small forward Trace Ramsey committed to the program on Twitter.

Ramsey, listed as 6 feet 7 and 200 pounds, comes to the Terps from Indiana, where he attended Don Bosco Prep Academy in Crown Point, Ind.

He claimed offers from Loyola Chicago, Siena and other mid-major programs.

He adds to a recruiting class that was already ranked seventh in the nation and No. 1 in the Big Ten by 247sports.com, joining five-star center Jalen Smith (Mount Saint Joseph), four-star guards Aaron Wiggins and Eric Ayala, and three-star guard Serrel Smith.
