Maryland men’s lacrosse junior Jared Bernhardt and women’s lacrosse seniors Jen Giles and Megan Taylor were named finalists for the Tewaaraton Award on Thursday.
Bernhardt is joined on the men’s side by Penn State’s Grant Ament, Loyola’s Pat Spencer, Yale’s TD Ierlan and Princeton’s Michael Sowers. Like Maryland, Boston College also had two finalists on the women’s side, as reigning recipient Sam Apuzzo making the list along with team captain Dempsey Arsenault, while Northwestern’s Selena Lasota rounded out the list.
Maryland has claimed eight out of 18 awards given on the women’s side, including a streak of six in a row from 2012-17 that was broken by Apuzzo last season.
