Tyrrell Pigrome was one of the big reasons that Maryland was able to race out to a first half lead in their 51-41 win over Texas this past Saturday.

On Tuesday, coach D.J. Durkin revealed that Pigrome torn his ACL and will miss the remainder of the 2017 season. In addition, Durkin said that “Buck” linebacker Jesse Aniebonam will miss several months with a fractured ankle.

Cornerback Antwaine Richardson is also day-to-day and currently in concussion protocol.

Pigrome turned in a very strong performance against the Longhorns. The sophomore quarterback completed 9-of-12 passes for 175 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for 64 yards and another touchdown on the ground.
