Maryland football recruiting roundup: Top targets Rahshaun Smith and Terrell Hall decommit

As we approach less than 30 days until Maryland kicks off the 2015 season against Richmond, the 2016 recruiting class could see a major addition in their front seven. Baltimore native and IMG senior-to-be Rahshaun Smith announced at IMG Media Day last week that he has decided to re-open his recruitment and de-commit from Clemson.

Smith, the No. 1 inside linebacker according to 247sports.com, has strong ties to Maryland with his Baltimore upbringing. Another positive facet for Maryland is the hire of Corey Robinson, Director of Player Personnel for the Terrapins. Robinson could be the X-factor in Smith's recruitment, as he was most recently the defensive backs coordinator and IMG Academy, and previously was an assistant coach at Saint Frances Academy in 2014 - Smith was enrolled at Saint Frances before transferring to IMG.
