Maryland football hires James Madison offensive line coach Bryan Stinespring

Maryland football made a home run hire Thursday in luring defensive coordinator Chuck Heater away from Marshall to be its safeties coach. On Sunday, the Terps hired James Madison offensive line coach Bryan Stinespring to fill the same role in College Park.

The program hasn’t formally announced the hire, although it had been rumored since earlier in the week.

Maryland lost offensive line coach Tyler Bowen earlier this offseason when he left to become Penn State’s tight ends coach. This is the second straight year the Terps have replaced their offensive line coach, as Dave Borbely moved to an off-the-field role after the 2016 season.
