Maryland Board of Regents reportedly expected to recommend retaining DJ Durkin and Damon Evans

Ahead of a 3:30 p.m. University System of Maryland Board of Regents press conference in Baltimore, The Washington Post reports the Board is “expected” to recommend that head football coach DJ Durkin and athletic director Damon Evans remain in their positions.

Reporting for The Post, Rick Maese and Roman Stubbs say “the job status for both athletic department employees could still be up in the air,” and that the Board of Regents is not expected to take any action on university president Wallace Loh, despite “internal debate.”

The report also says that Tuesday’s press conference is expected to focus more on proposed reforms the school should take (these would be recommendations for Loh rather than instructions).
