Maryland basketball's Melo Trimble, Diamond Stone, Jake Layman, Rasheed Sulaimon and Robert Carter earn All-Big Ten honors

Five difference Maryland players were honored by the Big Ten Conference Thursday evening, led by sophomore guard Melo Trimble's second team All-Big Ten selection by both the media and coaches. The Terps' star point guard averaged 14.4 points per game, 5.1 assists per game, 3.5 rebounds per game and 1.4 steals per game.

Illinois' Malcolm HIll, Iowa's Peter Jok, and Michigan State's Bryn Forbes were all second team honorees by both the media and coaches. Nebraska's Shavon Shields (coaches) and Michigan State's Matt Costello (media) were also second team honorees.

Center Diamond Stone was named to the All-Freshman team, after averaging 12.
