Maryland basketball signees Jalen Smith and Shakira Austin were named to the McDonald’s All-American rosters Tuesday afternoon.

Smith and Austin are each one of 24 men’s and women’s prospects from around the country to be selected; both are five-star recruits. Smith is the third future Terp to be a McDonald’s All-American since Mark Turgeon took over; Melo Trimble (‘14) and Diamond Stone (‘15) are the other two.
