Maryland baseball returns to NCAA tournament for first time since 2017, will face Charlotte in Greenville Regional

The Maryland baseball team will make its first NCAA tournament appearance since 2017 after earning the No. 3 seed in the Greenville Regional on Monday afternoon.

The Terps will take on No. 2 seed Charlotte on Friday at 6 p.m. at East Carolina’s Clark-LeClair Stadium.

Maryland, which finished second in the Big Ten standings and enters the tournament with a 28-16 mark, advanced to the 64-team NCAA tournament for the seventh time in program history.

No. 13 overall seed East Carolina is the top seed in the regional, while Norfolk State was given the four seed.
