Maryland baseball beats Stetson, 5-1, to even series

Tyler Blohm dominated a strong Stetson lineup Saturday afternoon, leading Maryland baseball to a 5-1 victory to even the series.

While the Hatters benefitted from a gem by their starter yesterday, it was Maryland’s turn today. Blohm lasted eight innings and barely felt any pressure from Stetson’s offense.

After struggling last week against East Carolina, Blohm bounced back in a big way. He didn’t have to pitch out of the stretch until the fifth, since Marty Costes threw out Stetson’s Baylen Sparks trying to stretch a single into a double. However, despite allowing a double in the fifth, Blohm worked around it easily.
