Duquesne graduate transfer power forward L.G. Gill has committed to finish his college career at Maryland. Gill has one year of eligibility remaining, and he'll use it next season in College Park. John Rothstein of CBS Sports was first with the news, which multiple outlets confirmed.
Gill visited Maryland over the weekend. In addition to Maryland, he reportedly had been considering Marquette. He's a 6'8 power forward, listed by ESPN's Jeff Borzello and Jeff Goodman as the No. 8 available transfer in college basketball this offseason. For Maryland to get him -- with immediate eligibility -- is a helpful development.
