Juan Dixon’s association with the University of Maryland men’s basketball program has ended.

Dixon, who came to College Park out of Calvert Hall in 1997 as a 145-pound freshman in 1997 and led the Terps to their only national championship five years later, was relieved of his duties as special assistant to coach Mark Turgeon, a source familiar with the situation said Wednesday.
