COLLEGE PARK – November is by far the busiest time for Maryland broadcaster Johnny Holliday. It is the one time of the year when football and men’s basketball overlap, forcing him to juggle his responsibilities for 105.7FM in Baltimore and other outlets.
Just last week, Holliday co-hosted basketball coach Buzz Williams’ radio show on Tuesday, provided play-by-play for the basketball team’s 95-90 overtime win against Mount St. Mary’s on Wednesday, joined football coach Michael Locksley for his radio show on Thursday, and did play-by-play again for the football team’s 45-20 loss to No. 18 Michigan on Saturday. And that does not include hours of painstaking research he spends for each game.
