How to watch Maryland football vs. Texas in the 2018 season opener

Maryland football opens its season Saturday at noon against the No. 23 Texas Longhorns, with the Terps looking to pull off a Week 1 upset for the second consecutive year.

Saturday’s game will be Maryland interim coach Matt Canada’s debut. Maryland put up 51 points in last year’s game vs. Texas en route to a 51-41 upset victory, but lost starting quarterback Tyrrell Pigrome to a torn ACL. Pigrome and redshirt freshman Kasim Hill, who tore his ACL vs. UCF on Sept. 23, are listed as co-starters on the depth chart.

The Longhorns are one of five ranked teams that the Terps will face, which makes this game the first of many upset opportunities that Maryland football will have this season.
