Former Maryland stars Alex Len and Dez Wells are set to compete in the opening weekend of Las Vegas' Summer League, though the Terrapins 2012-13 leading scorers are both playing under very different circumstances.
Alex Len
Len surprised many when he chose to compete in the summer. Typically summer league is used as a way for unsigned players to show they're ready to play on an NBA roster, or for rookies to start adjusting between the speed of college and professional games.
The 7-foot-1 former no. 5 overall pick is neither, coming off of a solid sophomore season, and there's no doubt the Suns will pick up his team option for the following season.
