Dion Wiley to leave Maryland basketball as graduate transfer

After weighing his options following the season, Dion Wiley has requested his release from Maryland basketball to explore options as a grad transfer, InsideMDSports reported Wednesday. The team has confirmed the news in a press release.

Soon after it was reported that Justin Jackson would depart for the draft, news dropped that Wiley would search for a larger role elsewhere. Wiley joined as the No. 52 player in the Class of 2014, and would be a fifth-year senior next year, after redshirting the 2015-16 season due to a torn meniscus.
