COLLEGE PARK — Malik Washington had to pause for a second about the question: When was the last time you were a part of a football team that had lost back-to-back games?
The Glen Burnie native and Archbishop Spalding graduate said that it probably hadn’t happened since his days in youth leagues. So what did the freshman quarterback think of Maryland’s recent downward spiral against Washington and Nebraska?
“We just stick to what we know,” he said. “We put in a lot of work, and sometimes the cards don’t go your way. That’s just a part of the game and how it goes.
