Maryland women’s basketball Coach Brenda Frese got into the profession unsure of where the journey would lead but positive it was what she wanted to do with her career. The thought of milestone victories certainly didn’t cross her mind, Frese said, at the time she got her first job as an assistant at Kent State and then working for her mentor Bill Fennelly at Iowa State.
More than two decades later, Frese has become one of the most successful in the business, accumulating mulitple head coaching awards and directing the Terrapins to a national championship and three Final Fours.
