3-star linebacker Kellan Wyatt commits to Maryland football

Maryland football continued to build its local foundation in recruiting Sunday, snagging a commitment from 2022 linebacker Kellan Wyatt.

Wyatt, a product of Archbishop Spalding, is not rated by Rivals or ESPN, but is listed as the No. 42 linebacker in his class and No. 20 player in the state of Maryland, according to 24/7 Sports.

Maryland head coach Mike Locksley and his staff previously dipped into the talent pool at Archbishop Spalding and landed a commitment from Wyatt’s 2021 teammate, three-star cornerback Jayon Venerable last July.

Listed at 6’2, 212 pounds as a sophomore, Wyatt provides a good form to build on at the outside linebacker position.
