RUSTON, La. — Erik McCree scored 30 points and Omar Sherman hit the go-ahead basket with 54 seconds left Saturday night as Louisiana Tech rallied to defeat Marshall 94-90.

The Thundering Herd (13-11, 6-5 Conference USA) dropped its third in a row, losing an 81-71 lead with 7:04 left.

That happened quickly, as the Bulldogs seized the advantage with a 12-1 run. The Herd last led 86-83 with 3:03 left on two Ryan Taylor free throws, but Jacobi Boykins nailed a 3-point shot to tie it.

A Taylor tip-in tied the game again at 88 with 1:52 left.
