Seniors leave lasting imprint on Marshall basketball program

HUNTINGTON — Marshall’s departing senior basketball class consists of two four-year players and a transfer in his third year in Huntington.

That’s pretty much what coach Dan D’Antoni wants in building the Thundering Herd program — players who stay long enough to leave an imprint on the program, not just a few stat sheets.

Ryan Taylor, Austin Loop and Stevie Browning have left such an imprint. Taylor and Loop represent the last bridge between the Herd’s past and the present under D’Antoni; Browning is the unusual case of a Division II player successfully making the jump to major-college ball.
