Winfield girls soccer player Mary Lawman will continue her playing career at Marshall University, after signing a letter of intent for the Thundering Herd on Wednesday.
Lawman, the 2016 Kanawha Valley Girls Soccer Player of the Year, finished second in the regular season in the Kanawha Valley in goals (27) and was third in assists (14), all while bouncing between midfield and forward. The Generals won the Class AA-A state soccer title in 2016, beating Charleston Catholic for the crown.
