Marshall men’s soccer coach Bob Gray announced the signing of defender/midfielder Paul Whitener on Thursday.
Whitener is a product of Blue Valley Northwest High School in Kansas City, Missouri. He also is a member of the Sporting Kansas City academy team of Major League Soccer and is currently training with Sporting’s Swope Park Rangers of the United Soccer League.
He is the ninth member of the Herd’s 2016 recruiting class.
n Due to impending weather conditions, Marshall men’s soccer has pushed its spring exhibition game from this Saturday to Sunday.
The Herd was originally scheduled to play two Saturday contests against Virginia Tech and James Madison at the AdvoCare Sports Performance Center at the Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs, but will now only play a 1 p.
