HUNTINGTON — This time of year, Santa Claus is checking his list — twice — for naughty or nice, but with five days until Christmas, the Marshall women’s basketball team decided to tear the Herd record book to pieces with a 136-62 win over the University of Maine Fort Kent, a member of the US Collegiate Athletic Association. Marshall set a new Herd record for points by either a men’s or women’s team at MU, set a new Cam Henderson Center record for most points and set a new Conference USA scoring mark in the win.
Marshall is 6-0 at home (and the men’s and women’s teams are still undefeated at home, the men 7-0 so far) and now 8-3 overall.
