No. 4 Maryland pulls away from Herd, 87-67

COLLEGE PARK, Md. — Despite a couple of valiant runs, the Marshall University men’s basketball team’s game against No. 4 Maryland ended just as the previous 16 have between the Thundering Herd and a top-5-ranked team.

The Herd held its own during the first half, but Robert Carter’s game-high 19 points and eight rebounds helped the Terrapins pull away and ultimately cruise to an 87-67 win over Marshall Sunday at the Xfinity Center.
