New faces coming to Marshall football in a number of ways

There may not be many players signing letters of intent to come to Marshall on National Signing Day — fewer than a dozen, it seems — but the class couldn’t have been that large.

For one thing, there was a small senior class that left last November.

Not to worry. When the opening-day roster is unveiled on the first day of preseason camp in August, the Thundering Herd will have its 25 initial “counters” for 2017.

In every conceivable way.

Herd fans who suffered through the 3-9 season of 2016 know the team had several non-qualifiers from 2016 expected to step in and make an impact.
