Capping off the fall season with a 4th place finish, the Marshall University men’s golf team shot a combined 40-over par at the Dayton Flyer Invitational Oct. 14-15.
Marshall improved its team score in each round, improving four stokes from round one to round three.
“I felt like it was a really good way to end the semester,” Head Men’s Golf Coach Matt Grobe said.
The tournament began with a 36-hole, two round day on Monday, Oct. 14.
“The conditions were very difficult,” Grobe said. “It was a little bit cold in the morning, and then the winds kind of picked up in the afternoon.
