IRVING, Texas – Marshall University junior softball outfielder Morgan Zerkle, from nearby Milton, W.Va. and Cabell Midland High School, was named a Conference USA Spirit of Service honoree Wednesday by the C-USA Commissioner Judy MacLeod. Zerkle is one of 14 student-athletes that will receive the award for the Spring Sports.
The C-USA Spirit of Service Award is designed to recognize the community service efforts of the league’s student-athletes, based upon significant community service, good academic standing and participation in their elected sport.
