HUNTINGTON — When Marshall forward Ryan Taylor is at his best, he’s one of the better players on Conference USA.
He drives hard inside, he gets offensive rebounds and putbacks, he shoots well from 3-point range and knows when to dish off. His 3-point shooting is more than 35 percent and his assist-to-turnover ratio is above 1.0 — good for a “stretch four.”
He’s a double-double waiting to happen, and he has 26 in his career to prove it.
But he’s not at his best when he’s on the bench.
More often than not, he’s on the bench because he’s in foul trouble.
