Marshall’s Ryan Taylor finds his form after early issues

With a one-game suspension and a leg injury behind him, Ryan Taylor has gotten back to being a double-double machine, and that has helped the Herd to a fast start in Conference USA play.

That also earned him the league’s player of the week award, announced Monday. That honor has been spread around the Thundering Herd, which is 4-0 after two weeks of league games.

Taylor is the third different MU player to win the honor this season, joining Jon Elmore and Stevie Browning. The Herd is the first team with three honored in the same season since 2014-15, when Louisiana Tech’s Alex Hamilton, Raheem Appleby and Kenneth “Speedy” Smith were selected.
