Marshall's Litton putting in extra work

HUNTINGTON — A portable target net was moved in front of Chase Litton, but his goal wasn’t to hit one of the pockets.

In this particular post-practice drill, Litton threw over the net — but not by much — and hit a stationary receiver about 30 yards downfield. On this day, the passes were hitting their mark, as 6-foot-7 Michael Clark was barely moving his hands.

It was a tuneup that Litton, the 6-6 sophomore, needed as his Marshall team enters the final stages of spring practice. But was it a sign that he was struggling with his mechanics, as quarterbacks and pitchers do from time to time?
